Ethos does not place cookies in the user’s browser. Ethos does not use JavaScript. Nor does the website use cross-linking: all resources are local. When the user leaves the Ethos website (directed by the site to another) a “referrer” is used, so the other website does not see that the user came from Ethos. The user’s connection to Ethos is secured by an SSL (secured socket layer) certificate before any data is sent or received. The certificate is used to encrypt the connection.
